About the Event
Gentle restorative yoga and guided meditationÂ
Restorative yoga is slow paced, can be done without the up and down movements often associated with yoga. It can be all floor work, laid down or seated if preferred. We will have blankets to make you cosy. If you have postural issues from conditions like POTS, Fibromyalgia, CFS, chronic pain and chronic fatigue, dizziness then this is ideal for you. It's gentle, calming and soothing and can be easily adapted to suit your mobility.
Starting the session off with an optional healthy, delicious green smoothie to cleanse the digestive system.
We will then prepare the body for a very gentle yoga practice where participants can do as much or as little as they please.
Breathwork will prepare the body, relax and the mind and teach us how to clear the mind of thoughts through a Nadi Shohana practice.
The yoga practice itself will be gentle with options of taking postures deeper or more gentle so that the yoga is inclusive for everyone, chairs are will be made available to anybody who would like one.
It is important after the yoga practice to relax the body and mind, a guided deep meditation/relaxation will hopefully leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenate. An optional hands on adjustment can be given for a deeper relaxation.
We will finish off with a herbal tea or a cuppa and a friendly natter before finishing the practice.
Please arrive 10mins early & bring a yoga mat.
Oldroyd's corner is towards the back of the garden centre, so you need to take the road on from the garden centre and not enter Woodmansey Garden centre car park. You will see the Men in Sheds sign and the greenhouse, we will be in there.
